Learn About Bastrop’s Additional Noteworthy Developments

SpaceX/Starlink’s expansion of its Bastrop, TX, facility by over one million square feet is among the region’s most noteworthy developments. With it comes over 400 jobs created and a $280 million investment. Line204 Texas is also building the ground-up, purpose-built studio lot in the state, a 546-acre project along the Colorado River beginning this fall.

Data center, new schools also in the works

A $1.4 billion Data Center is being constructed at the northeast corner of FM 535 and Wolf Lane in Cedar Creek, with the first of four buildings scheduled for completion in June 2026. Bastrop Independent School District building two new elementary schools is another noteworthy local project, part of a larger bond program to improve and expand facilities in line with Bastrop’s population growth. Finally, actor Zachary Levi is behind the development of a 75-acre master-planned development, Wyldwood Studios, parts of which will open in 2027.
