These Key Infrastructure/Public Projects are Underway in Bastrop

Several infrastructure improvements and public projects are in progress around Bastrop, TX, including plans to repair and reopen the historic Old Iron Bridge. Fairview Cemetery is also being expanded by 622 lots, including a new columbarium. The Agnes Street roadway is being expanded from two to four lanes, providing access from Home Depot to Walmart.
Additional infrastructure & public works projects
Bastrop Country Development Services, providing permitting, land division and floodplain management oversight, will soon break ground on a new building at 203 Jackson St. Rounding out the current infrastructure and public works projects in Bastrop is the TxDOT SH-71 Project, part of a $183 million state package aimed at improving travel and safety on the highway, which commences in late 2025. Traffic lights at Tucker Hill Lane intersection will be replaced with an overpass and add new one-way frontage roads.
