Bastrop, TX, is home to a burgeoning industrial park scene, with large businesses like LS Electric opening its first North American production facility in April, 2025. In May, Coltzin LLC broke ground on a 60,000-square-foot tortilla chip manufacturing center, while Acutronic is constructing a jet engine manufacturing facility.

Impact of Bastrop’s business/industrial park projects

LS Electric’s facility is over 58,000-square-feet and employs 50 workers. Investments north of $240 million are planned over the next five years, expanding its local workforce. Coltzin’s complex is set for completion in the fall of 2026 and Acutronic’s facility is the only of its kind in Texas. The company has invested $4 million in construction and plans to create 50 new high-wage, high-skill local jobs.
