Invest in Bastrop’s Local Businesses Today!
15 Feb 2021
The city of Bastrop is asking residents and tourists to invest in local businesses to help keep our local economy strong. The Bastrop Economic Development Corporation (Bastrop EDC) is funded mainly through a one-half cent tax. This means one-half cent of sales tax in Bastrop goes toward local economic development.
This tax money goes on to help the city of Bastrop in several ways. This tax money helps fund roads, city police, fire departments, and other economic development projects. We urge you to shop and invest in local businesses and help keep our economy strong and our workforce employed. Click here to learn more about investing in Bastrop.
