Building a Better Bastrop

The City of Bastrop began an audacious plan in 2018 to re-codify the City’s building and zoning codes and regulations. This plan came to fruition when the City passed the B3 Codes in November 2020 setting the standard in the state of Texas for how cities should plan, develop and permit. The new B3 Codes require fewer zoning districts and allow for more flexibility and uses by property owners. Bastrop is now ready for all types of commercial and mixed-use developments.
