Jean Riemenschneider joined the Bastrop Economic Development Corporation in a full-time capacity in October 2015. Her programs include Project Management, Business Recruitment, Education and Workforce Development & Training. Jean has over 30 years of diverse cross sector experience ranging from project management, real estate development, community building, professional recreation, B2B sales and property management. She learned the importance of providing the best possible customer experience and developing relationships with clients from her years in the golf business. She now brings those same priorities to the BEDC. Serving Bastrop has been a focus for her prior to her arrival at the BEDC. She maintains community involvement through the Education Committee for the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, and with the Bastrop Robotics Booster club, having previously served as the vice-president. Jean received her Oklahoma University EDI certification in 2019.
